a sentence in zoophona is made up of at least a verb. a sentence containing only a verb has the meaning of 'there is' that thing. there are no articles such as 'a' or 'the' in zoophona.

the word cvcv meaning 'say, talk, or speak' can be used on its own as an interjection to mean 'hello', literally 'there is speaking'.

the subject of a sentence is the one who performs the verb. in the sentence 'alice loves rover', 'alice' is the subject. in both english and zoophona, the subject is placed before the verb. in zoophona, the subject is seperated from the verb by placing the subject marker v between them.

there is no word 'to be' in zoophona. instead, any word can be used as a verb with the meaning of 'to be' or 'to do' that thing.
